Dental Insurance Accepted and Other Policies

Our dental practice accepts most traditional insurance plans. We realize that most Americans are not covered with dental insurance. Since the dental insurance maximums have not increased with inflation over the past 20 years, most maximums are insufficient to cover treatment. The majority of plans also do not cover anything considered cosmetic such as whitening or adult orthodontics.

Our office takes great pride in being able to customize a payment plan for you. We offer payment financing through Care Credit. If you have financial concerns, your treatment can be phased to enable affordability. Please call our Financial Coordinators for details. We will thoroughly explain your choices and work hard to accommodate your needs.

Some dentists in our practice are in network with the insurance companies listed below:

• Aetna Dental  PPO
• Cigna Dental PPO
• Guardian Dental PPO
• MetLife Dental PPO

Our office will first bill to Medicare Medical for those portions of the Sleep Apnea treatments eligible. Please note, our office only accepts Medicare Medical, not Medicare Dental.  

The patient payment portion covered for procedures varies depending on the coverage you have.

An estimate of the amount covered by your insurance company will be provided at the time of your treatment, based on the information they provide to us. The estimate is never a guarantee of benefits or the amount that will be paid. Even when we file all insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients, this does not transfer the responsibility of your financial obligation to the insurance company. If the amount paid by the insurance company is less than or greater than the estimate, then you will be billed the difference or issued a credit on the account in the event of an overpayment. Please let us know if you have questions about our financial policies or financing options prior to your treatment.

Please note, dental insurance maximums are often insufficient to cover treatments. The majority of plans will not cover anything considered purely cosmetic such as whitening.

Our practice also offers payment financing through Care Credit, Lending Club, and Alphaeon Credit interest free for 12 months with no annual fee. If you have financial concerns, please contact our office with any questions or for further details. We will thoroughly explain your choices, and work  with you to provide options that fit within the constraints.

The earlier you communicate the cancellation notice the better our staff can adjust the schedule to help  another patient sooner. Kindly provide at least 48 hours notice for any appointment that needs to be rescheduled.
